There's A Song

Thanks Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiritual Sundays. To join in post and add your name at Spiritual Sunday

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you've imagined." Henry David Thoreau.

When He touched me in that hospital room...
When He broke the hold of those things that held onto me and wouldn't let go..
When He broke the chains....and freed me...changed my life....and did what nothing else could...
When He reached so far down to pull me out of all that darkness....Something changed. I changed.

My focus....my desires...I started to dream....something I had never done.
Before it was just about survival...Now - He gave me a song...and with that song....dreams...

No matter what happens....good or bad...my heart dreams...to give back...to shine His love....to make a difference...just like He did for me.

I don't dream of taking trips to exotic places...or buying pretty things to fill up our home.....or living in a bigger or better place. I dream of making a difference....leaving a legacy that shows He's real.....

There's a song in my heart..His song....whispering softly...strong and reassuring that He's always there...in my corner...running with me...His voice giving me hope...giving me dreams.....

There's a song that's inside of my soul...

Nor do I have dreams of travel or riches. The best thing we can hope for is to really make a difference and affect the lives of others as we pass through.

Beautiful song...and you had me remember that part from your book...I remember feeling awed by His healing touch on you. Like a blink of an eye!

No doubt, He is faithful! It is us who should do our part to be His like what this song said.

You're a great encourager sister. May the Lord bless you and protect you always.

LOVED this post Sarah. Yes, when we invite Him into our lives and are saved by the precious blood of Jesus He does change us. Wonderfully, miracleously, amazingly. What an awesom God we serve.

Hi Sarah

I'm so glad that He broke the chains that were holding unto me too and now I'm free and I continually praise Him for all His tender mercies and that precious blood that covered all my sins.

Sarah I didn't join in with Spiritual Sunday this week as I am struggling to keep up with all the comments but I have a prayer request on this blog post. Thankyou for your visit yesterday to my other blogs and the follow :)

What a beautiful purpose in life the Lord has given you. He has placed it within your heart that you may always sing of the Hope you have found in Him. By singing of that Hope, you give others Hope and Faith in the one who rescued you.

Blessings to you this Thanksgiving,
Janis

Sara,
God truly has placed a song in your heart, and you now sing a beautiful song for everyone to hear, and you are touching so many hearts through this song.
It is was so refreshing to me when you talked of leaving a legacy that showed that God was real, by how you lived your life.
I leave here challenged to make sure that the legacy I leave will also show who God is too.
Thank you for sharing this.
Blessings, Sue

Hi Sarah,

I been away for a while, now I am back to the blog world. I missed you. It's so nice to have Christian blog friends. The blog world is like a world unto itself. I can totally relate to your blog. When I was hospitalized at ninteen Jesus taught me new dreams that could actually happen. Dreams worth dreaming. I would like to ask you to pray for me as I moving out on my own and am being placed with a roommate. Pray that she is Christian and will become my friend. You as my Christian friend will take this seriously and pray I know it. And if you want to know more about this check out my last two postings.

Blessings with hugs,
Amanda
