Thankful Thursday

"Gratitude brings joy and laughter into your life and into the lives of those around you." Eileen Caddy

It's been sort of a strange week....but one that I've had moments where I could  kick back and just be in the moment. I'm usually not good at doing that....so I'm really grateful this week for:

-the delight in watching my 10 yr. old admire her new shoes as if they were the greatest gift ever.
-watching Anne of Green Gables with my girls for the millioneth time and loving it.
-having the best heart to heart talks with my teen.
-having my youngest's teacher tell me 'what can you add to perfect. I wish I had a gazillion kids like your daughter in my class.' Proud Mama here. ☺
-reached 33,238 words for Nanowriter  - goal to write 50,000 words in 30 days  with others doing the same thing....

Love your list. I want to watch Anne of Green Gables. It's been a long time, but I don't think my boy (8) would appreciate it. Sort of like Pride and Prejudice to him.

Isn't it wonderful just to rest in the Lord and marvel at all He is doing!

thanks for sharing. My favorite having a heart to heart talk with the teen. This is a treasure. Joining you at Dayle's.

Nothing like starting our day being grateful, ending our day being grateful. Makes our worries of lesser concern as we thank God and out our focus on Him. Blessings to you sister.

Sarah, this is a wonderful list of simple pleasures, especially that Anne of Green Gables part. :) Probably my all-time favorite movie. I need to dig it out and have a movie night around here.

Always a pleasure having you at the Simple Pleasures get-together.

I mean "put our focus on Him" not "out"...Typing too fast... :)

That's a LOT of words. Knowing you, they are all worthwhile, too!

I really liked your list this week. There were so many that made me smile. I especially liked the Anne of Green Gables one. (A favorite HERE too) and the comment from the teacher.

You must have a very full heart this week, Sarah.

Kids have a wonderful way of returning us to the simple things, the essence of life. Why are you trying to write a specific number of words? (Just curious.)
