Thankful Thursday

Thanks Dayle for hosting Simple Pleasures.

"My parents always encouraged me to be grateful that I was healthy, and stand up and be proud and carry myself with dignity." Susan Anton

I didn' have parents that taught me that. I didn't have life experience that gave it to me. But when He touched me....He gave it to me. He taught me what no one else ever had. I'm so grateful for

-the powerful touch of His gentleness....it melted the anger and softened the hardness around my heart.
-the gift of His grace....knowing He's forgiven me helps me to reach out and extend that forgiveness to others.
-a great big supply of His love....that proved to me I have worth...and my life has meaning.
-a huge dose of His courage....that's helped me to have my voice and step out and make positive changes for others.
-a shot of His miracles....He made the difference. He freed me. He gave me what no one or nothing else could. He taught me to stand proud. He gave me back my dignity......Now every chance I get.....I want to tell others all the great things He did so they also can find freedom.

Beautifully written, Sara. The Lord promised to be our mother and father, and I can't think of anything more wonderful than having that promise. No matter who leaves us or abandons us, He will always be there.

Always a joy to have you at Simple Pleasures.

Sarah, these are wonderful words of gratefulness. You make me think of the old song "It is no secret what God can do. What He's done for others, He'll do for you!" I'm so glad He touched me too :-) blessings..Trish

Thank you for sharing your testimony of the power of God's love. "I once was a wretch, but now I am found." Amazing Grace.

It is not by our actions or good deeds but by our faith. We are blessed indeed.

Love,
Pam
