Thankful Thursday

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.
William Arthur Ward

Lately....new doors are opening....others closing. I feel the gentleness of  His touch ..a reminder He's there...in my corner....His whisper....to not be afraid...to be strong...and trust.  Thinking about all the neat things He's already done in my life....I know...everything will be ok. He's already given me so much:

-I used to suffer with awful migraines that made me throw up.  No more....I haven't had one for a long time.
-I used to have terrible panic attacks that were debilitating. Now...I have this amazing peace instead...His peace.
-I used to be afraid...really afraid. So afraid I slept with the all the lights on. Now...I have faith that's replaced that fear.
-I used to feel alone....that no one cared...Now I have a great family....and good friends who are always in my corner...running with me.
-I used to feel my life wasn't worth anything....that it had no purpose. But since He touched me.....I know that I count..and that He has a plan...and my life has meaning.

Growing up Jewish....attending synagogue...keeping kosher....being taught the Torah....I never felt free...not until His gentle touch....that showed me Grace....something I couldn't work for or earn. Grace....I'm mostly thankful for Grace. It's made all the difference in my world.

God's grace is sufficient for all my needs. He really is. It took me a long time to understand that and just how much He loves me! He is so good to me and you.

Yes, it's a wonderful testimony....and so many times, we Christians don't claim that love and grace in our daily lives. Beautiful.

Living under grace indtead of the law is amazing and freeing, isn't it? The Jewish people love God so much and are just so close, but so far. I've gone to synagogue several times (once for Kristallnacht) and have been so blessed.

I hate to think where I would be without Him, without His sweet grace and mercy and unconditional love.

Stopping by your blog(s) for the first time and amazed to see your God-honoring place here. I love the verse you have on one of your other blogs... Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Thanks for stopping by my place and leaving your comment!

I sleep with the lights on when I am alone at home. I guess I will believe more that God is taking care of me, at such times, from now. :)
