Thankful Thursday

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. William Arthur Ward

Some days I don't feel very thankful. Somedays I just feel sorry for myself. Then I talk to someone who'se hurting....or notice a person struggling with all kinds of things in their life...and that old familar fight kicks in and I know I need to change my attitude. It's been like that this week. I'm glad it's thursday again.....a day to stop and realize I have so much to be thankful for, things like:

-My home. - So many people live in substandard houses or in only one room in somebody else's house or in a shelter or on the streets. Our house is  near the water and surrounded by nature and we have so many kind neighbours....☺
-My family....they're the absolute best. We really look out for each other. The relationship between us is pretty tight....
-Hope....there was a time I had no hope. Everything was just plain dark. Now when there's problems...or things go wrong...I know that with Him in my corner....somehow everything's going to work out and be okay
-My work....I get to go to work and make people smile. And I get paid for doing that. How cool is that.
-Faith....I can kick back and trust because He's got it all under control....For me...this is the best. ☺

Powerful message here Sarah.

Since I work for a non-profit organization that deals with third world countries, I see daily what their living conditions are.

I am so glad that your family is set together dear one.

Certainly is cool to have a job where you can make people smile.

Thank you for sharing such an inspiring post.

Blessings and ((((Sarah))))

To be paid for making people smile? That's my favorite one of the week.

What a wonderful, wonderful gift.
Both to you as the giver, and to you as the reciever. Loved that.

It's so easy to fall into the old pattern of feeling sorry for ourselves, until we see someone who is so much worse off than we are!
