Thankful Thursday

"When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around."  Willie Nelson

There's so many things that have come into my life...things I wanted so badly...and never thought they could actually ever happen. He's given me so much...more than I could have  imagined. Gratitude! You bet. I'm so grateful for:

-my kids...they give me tons of opportunities to let go, have fun and dance
-my sister...she remembers how bad things were and tells me all the time that I'm a miracle and her inspiration
-the lady where I park my car at work. She always tells me my smile warms up her day.
-friends who care...who are in my corner...who love me even on those days I'm not very lovable
-hope...it's something that lets me hang on when there's nothing else...helps me know things will change for the best even when it doesn't look like it will....

Nikki,
Yes to be grateful for hope because..."Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without words and never stops." (Emily Dickinson)

I like your little cartoon of The Cat In The Hat! Sometimes we don't feel very thankful, but if we just make an effort to think of all we can be thankful for, and do it every day, it can actually turn our brain chrmistry around, and MAKE us more thankful!

These are some of the same gifts you have given me...."loving me when I am not very lovable!" Thank you for being my friend.

Sarah,
What truly remarkable things to be thankful for! Year ago I was given a small door hanging pillow stating... "Count your blessings". I can't tell you how many time that the reminder on that sweet little pillow helped to pull me up, wipe the tears away and smile. from one dancer to another...Dee Dee

I love that quote by Willie Nelson. Gratitude does change everything. Recently, I am seeing everyone struggling financiallyaround me and I feel so grateful for all that God has blessed me with. :)

Blessings,
Tammy

While writing this post, did you find a smile sneak up on you? (I'm smiling in response!)
Call me crazy, but I'm always comforted by making lists ... and this one is SO positive!

Loving these this week! I relate so well to the sister one. Mine is my constant reminder of the work that God has done in my life too. She watched the journey and knows the joy.

I also loved "hope". You said it better than I could so I won't expound on your words.
