Spiritual Sunday "Warrior is a Child"

Spiritual Sundays are hosted by Charlotte and Ginger. To join in post and add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

I cried at first.....and then, it was such a beautiful day, that I forgot to be unhappy. ~ Frances Noyes Hart

I'm mostly strong. I've had to be. I learned to fight to survive...to not show fear....to be brave in the face of awful things. Sometimes though...I just don't always feel very strong. Like this past week....some things have happened that made me feel... vulnerable... weak...alone.  A part of me wanted to let go....give in....stop fighting.

But then I remembered all those people who don't have clean water.....or good shoes....or enough food....and others who sit in prisons for crimes they didn't commit...and mothers who've lost children to sickness...or accidents....and people fighting addictions...divorce....loss.

I took a walk in the woods....to listen for Him ...to hear His whisper....to feel His presence. There I felt a touch of His gentleness...that reminds me I'm not alone....that He's right there.....by my side....His strength becoming mine. One touch from Him....and everything in my world is ok again....Now I want to reach out....to touch someone else's world....and let them know...it'll be ok too.

"Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being." Albert Schweitzer
There's some really neat people who have banded together to go to bat for one special woman named Collette. Her story is at http://www.katillacshack.com/. I hope whoever stops here checks it out. Together we really can make a differnce. You can also follow the link on facebook http://www.facebook.com/guideposts

How amazing, wonderful, and inspiring this post is! You have too much to say and so much encouragement to give people to EVER give up. God has given you a gift and a mission, and you must use it. "The Warrior Is A Child"" just totally blew me away! I am going to direct some of my blog friends here to watch it. I need to do some running home today myself. Blessings

Sarah there is saying that said:
"When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life you have a thousand reasons to smile."
And the biggest reason you have is God’s Love.
Beautiful post and lovely song.
Joy & Blessings,
Virginia

You know, my first ever blog went by the name The Warrior in Me. This song felt special.

Thank you, Sarah, for another inspirational post. We all have fear and doubts at times. The song is very interesting. In time we all grow up, but there is always the child inside. I'm convinced the spirit doesn't age. The older I get the more convinced I am of this. Boy, the body certainly does though. That's why I'm looking forward to a new body. It's such a wonderful hope.
Blessings to you and keep sharing your hope and faith. You help a lot of people who are hurting.

Hi Sarah,

You're right! Every time I think my life is horrible, I think about the people that have it worse. There is always someone worse. It's actually a DBT skill to think of people worse of than you. DBT is a kind of therapy that is a cross between a class and group therapy. Happy Sunday to you.

Hugs and blessings,
Amanda

Hi Sarah,
Wow! Your post just really ministered to me today! That song, which I've never heard before, just has my name all over it. And whenever I think I'm having it tough, I too think aboput all those less fortunate than myself. Philippians 4:8 is the one verse I turn to time and time again. It really helps to keep things in perspective. Thank you so much for sharing your faith and encouraging posts with us. You do indeed have a gift and I'm so glad you are using it for His glory!

Blessings,
Sandi

Nikki...I enjoyed visiting Collette's newly designed bedroom. I got a kick out of her Holly Hobby sign that says Live...Laugh...Love! Those three words are permanently attached to the end of all my emails. But there was more than one coincidence. Her last name is the same as my maiden name. Thanks for sharing her video. It brought a smile to my face because Collette has such a beautiful smile inspite of her woes. :)

Thanks for the visit-such a wonderful analogy about the flowers among the rocks being strangers there to help! God Bless you every day!!

Good Morning Sarah Sweetie...
Through Miracle Weekend I started visiting the Spirtual Sunday participants. I am so thrilled I have came to visit your beautiful blog home.

What a beautiful share you have today sweet friend. I love the song, I have never heard it before. I thank you for sharing with me today.

I will be back to visit again. I have so enjoyed myself here.

Please stop by Country Wings In Phoenix, my blog. Guideposts magazine is donating a dollar towards our next miracle makeover for each comment left and I want to make enough for several more makeovers. I know they are out there just waiting to be found.

Country hugs sweet friend, Sherry

I also think of other people that have it so much worse then me. I'm almost done with your book. When I read it I have to make sure I have time because I don't want to put it down(I've been late to work) so know I read it when I don't have to be anywhere. I have 2 chapters to go. Your are in my prayers, and my heart.
God Bless,
Ginger
