Thankful Thursday

I thank God for my handicaps for, through them, I have found myself, my work, and my God. --Helen Keller

Gratitude....I remember where I was....the darkness...the fear....the pain....He's taken me so far fromt that....and given me so much. Today....I'm grateful for everything that happened because:

-it made me strong
-it gave me compassion
-it taught me to never give up
-it helped me to really see others
-it gave me an appreciation for life

Today, I can thank God for the gift of alcoholism, without which I would have missed so much. Who knew? Thanks for this wonderful reminder. Hugs.

You are a blessing, dear sister. Thank you for your 'Thankful Thursdays'.

Jesus changed my life one night - and I mean CHANGED! I was a daily drug user (fortunately, not addicted), but was high almost every day. Then one night when I was sure my life was a wreck, a co-worker shared Christ with me. My life took a 180-degree turn. My 5-year drug habit ended that moment and I have never used since. He gave me a whole new reason for living. He is my Hope, my Rock, my Hiding place, my Strong Tower. I run to him and I am safe. Jesus has indeed captivated my heart. Now I am praying he will reveal Himself also to my son who is struggling to recover from opiate addiction.

Keep writing!
