Spiritual Sunday.

Thanks to Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiritual Sundays. To join in, post and add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

"The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;
On those living in the land of the shadow of death,
A light has dawned.
You have shattered the yoke that burdens them,
the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor."
                      Isaiah 9:2,4

It's funny what works to bring someone to freedom....and to Him. For me....it was the blood.
"After the hospital released me, Matt and Amy brought me back to the campsite. They encouraged me, telling me God wanted to do a special work in my life and I simply needed to trust Him. I didn't quite understand what they were saying, but I wanted to believe them.  I stayed quiet, listening as they spoke. The words to the catchy tunes we had sung in the van rolled over in my head, especially the one with the words, 'nothing but the blood of Jesus.' It made me think of the many times I had cut myself, desperate to see the deep red flow of blood. The blood reminded me of life....my life. Once I saw it, I knew I was still alive. In the song it said there was life in the blood. That impacted me. I understood that." (taken from In the Eye of Deception)

Broken and beautiful......This is the way You've chosen to save. This is the way You make all things new!

This is a very lovely and powerful post! You made quite a statement here, one I hope many will choose, rather then the ways of this wicked world!
God Bless you greatly and thank you for your post today.
Pray for my family as my daughter lost her little dog, and she is very old and sickly.
Thank you Hugs Anne

God has worked and is continuing to work miracles in your life. By His blood we are washed clean. By His blood we are saved. By His blood we are set free. By His blood we will live forever.

Hello Sarah, I loved this song so much, a real blessing!
Sarah I suffered, verbal, mental and physical abuse for almost 30years. I believe with all my heart, that those who have been healed much, love much. It never really leaves you, BUT, through pain comes much compassion for others.
God see's knows and loves....and Praise His name, He never sleeps. Tomorrow I will place a Greeting to you on my Blog. Thank you for following. xxx

It sounds repugnant to eat His body and drink His blood. But God chose the way of brokenness to save us. And as His followers, we must do so also. Our brokenness, He mends and make us whole again. Now, I understood your post more! I really enjoyed the work He had done in your life sister and how He made you whole again. Glory to God! Take care and God bless.
