Spiritual Sunday "This is the Promise"

Thanks Ginger and Charlotte for hosting these awesome Spritiual Sundays. To join in post and add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

Living  on the streets...I learned to fight...to fend for myself....to survive....alone....with no family....and the only friends I had were like me....broken...afraid..alone. We all lived in fear and hatred....fighting the perverts...fighting hunger and cold. Some couldn't hang on....they couldn't fight alone anymore. They gave up....gave in to the darkness....

I'm still a fighter....I still have that fighter mentality inside me. But now I have to to remind myself....I'm not fighting alone anymore. He's in the battles with me. He never promised things would be a breeze...He never promised there'd be no more fighting....What He did promise....was to never leave me to fight alone....He promised He'd be there by my side.

His grace is sufficient.....to all of us... this is the promise....

To know that He's always here with us is very comforting. It's a beautiful reminder that needs to be repeated all the time. To God be the glory! Take care sis and have a great weekend. Blessings.

I haven't heard that song before. The Martins are great. Thank God for His promises. Thank you for your sweet visit.

2Ch 20:15 -
And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

Blessings ~

It's so nice when we no longer have to fight the battles alone.

Great song!! The sun is not shining in Scottsdale today. But that's ok because we need the rain. As I sit here listening to this music and reading your words I have turned to look out my upstairs window. The window is covered with rain. I can look out over the red, rain soaked roof of my neighbors house and see the gray sky above. I think about the words and I feel warm, joyful and unafraid. I know the promises He made to me! Thank you.

So true...we aren't fighting alone. And in some cases, God even fights 'for' us, without any help on our part. How can you not love someone like that?

I just wondered, Sarah, did you really grow up on the streets or were you quoting someone? Yes, God is always with us. He is even with us when we are not with Him. He only offers a shoulder to cry on when we accept it. He never forces! That is why when we turn from God it may feel like He is not there, when it is really us who is not there.
Keep preachin' sister,
Amanda

Thank you, Sarah. That really meant a lot to me.
Your video was beautiful!
I know that it has been a while since I last commented here, but there is just not enough hours in the day to get around everyone, but I have often thought about you and I'm pleased that you are now praying to live!
I have been in a very dark place myself, but now things are looking better!
Life throws us some curved balls at times, all we can do is do our best with what we have.
Things work out, in a strange kind of way.
Big hugs!
