Spiritual Sunday "Angels Unaware".

Thanks Charlotte and Ginger for hosting Spiritual Sundays. To join in...post and add your name at http://bloggerspirit.blogspot.com/

I think there are angels....lots of them. ...all around us. Once I was driving home at night in heavy fog. I needed to get over this long bridge, but couldn't even see it. I tried over and over, but kept missing the entrance to get on. I finally pulled over to the side of the road feeling frustrated....and not knowing what to do. A man tapped on my window. "You want to get over that bridge?" I nodded. "Follow me. Just keep your eyes on my tail lights."

I did. When we made it over to the other side, he stopped and came to ask if I was ok now. I told him I was. He smiled....and then just like that....was gone. I drove the rest of the way home wondering if he had been an angel sent to help me.

I wonder about people like that man....that come into our lives for brief periods -  almost of out nowhere.....who somehow give us the help and support we need....then leave...disappear. I like to think....maybe we're entertaining angels unaware......

Hi sister Sarah. I believe in God sending His angels to minister to us, for our needs, for our protection. One night, I was going home late at night and there was a spark going under the car I was driving. I didn't know that the metal part fell and was being dragged. Someone brightlighted me, a very tall and huge truck driver. I didn't have any choice but listened, I didn't have fear but was more fearful of a possible fire and that thing kept being dragged. He came out, took a tool, and remove that piece of metal just like that. He didn't want to accept any offer of money. And he was gone just like that. I could barely see his face as it was dark. Following morning, I looked at the metal with my hubby and saw how badly it melted. Then something hit me, that man took it out with bare hands and handed it to me. I didn't have any burn! I still smile when I remember that, knowing how closely our God is watching us. Like how He did for you. And for other children. Thank you for your story and sorry, I left a long comment. Blessings.

Whether you call it angels, divine providence or synchronicity, way too many things happen like you just described to be coincidence. Pretty nice to think about. Have a great weekend!

Without a doubt I know there are angels and we are assigned them to ourselves as well. We have no idea in this life time, how many times our lives were spared by their hands. Great post Sarah dear, thank you!

Hey Sarah! Yes I know that there are angels out there. Once we were on vacation and my daughter got burned. We took her to the nearest hospital. The doctor that treated her said we needed to leave her overnight. A nurse then approached us and said, "Whatever you do don't leave your daughter here." My wife and I looked at each other then turned to ask the nurse why, but she was gone. We didn't leave our daughter there. We took her to our own hospital. The attending physician said that there was no reason to keep her overnight. I think my daughter was spared something that night.

I've heard of similar stories that happen to people. A friend of mine once had her call stall in a busy intersection due to high water. (This was in a town that doesn't get a lot of rain, and just a small amount can cause flooding.) Anyway, two men came from seemingly nowhere and pushed her car out of the intersection. The disappeared just as quickly and she often thought if they might have been angels.

Blessings,
Joan

Blessings Sarah...Angels watching over (you) me!
I know that I have been protected many times by angels! And others have seen angels surrounding me
- 5 one time and I gave one to escort my brother home to be with the Lord, when he was unconscious for a week, and I feared his death being like my mom's...but it wasn't it was peaceful because of the angel's present. I'm so thankful for angels and God's presence! Ever so aware...and if they look like this "angel" Michael Smith...they are more than welcome (lol)! Thanks for the song and your angels unaware! I'd love to see one! They usually bring a message but I know many have been sent to protect! They lifted an entire herd of deer over my vehicle! Glory to the messengers of faith and hope! Sent by God to increase our vision, our hope and our FAITH! Trust and believe and thank God!

Thanks for a great post. And YES, I absolutely believe there are angels out there. God has them mentioned so many times in Scripture, that I KNOW He wanted us to understand that they are out there. Even in the beginning of Psalm 103, my reference today, it speaks of them just waiting to hear any command He would give them to go and do. And with a son as a Marine, I fully believe he has angels out and about over there keeping their footsteps safe. Thank God for the ones that swoop LOW!!! Loved your story.
Thanks for sharing. have a great week.

Thank you for this reminder. It made me think of the times I've had those "strange coincidences" of protection. One day we will see clearly all of the ways He protects us.

I often tell my Bible study groups that I hope we can watch home movies in heaven with the Lord and the host of folks in the Bible and see all of the ways He guarded us on Earth.

I do think that it is possible that we can be angels to others. We can be the one that the Lord works through. We never know when we may be called to help some one over a bridge. But, every word, every action, every little smile may be the tail lights that another person is following.

Lovely story.. Angels are all about us sometimes we see them sometimes not and I feel there is a little "agel" in each of us.

What a great story. I think about those encounters in my life, too. I like the idea that they might be angels. Whether they are angels or "God with skin on," I believe God gives us what we need, and that help comes in many forms. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful story. I love reading it.
I agree with you. God sent angels to us whenever we need them. That's what we called the "amazing grace" of God. :)

I have had encounters just like this. Isn't it beautiful how God's angels help and protect us? A blessing for sure...

Sarah,

When I was about ten years old way back in the early ninties when everyone wore those big bunch of laces on their gym shoes I saw my guardian angel. I was with my Mom picking up my Dad at O'Hare International Airport. It was late at night and hardly anyone was in the terminal, this is way before 9/11 so you didn't have to be a ticketed passager to go to the gate. Anyway, we went up this huge escalator and no one was behind me. My Mom stepped off first at the top and then I tried to step off, but my big shoelace was caught in the escalator thingy. My Mom told me to pull my foot out of the shoe, but the shoelace was tightening the shoe and starting to drag it in. Somehow up behind me was a man in a buiness suit that yanked my foot out of the shoe and handed to my Mom. My Mom helped me get off the escaltor and then turned around to thank the man, but he was no where in sight. Now this could have been a businessman flying somewhere, but he had no luggage and even my Mom, who was a grown - up at the time, said that escaltor was huge so we couldn't figure out how a human man would have ran up it. And there is the fact that he just left, just like that! Some people laugh at this story, but I know you would enjoy it.

Hugs my blog buddy,
Amanda
